Q: What kind of Gel do I apply on Neoprene Center Piece?
We recommend using the original AbTronic Toning Gel to enhance
the toning action of the unit and to guarantee good conductivity
and the most pleasant feeling. However, you may use any other water-based
gel or lotion.
If you have any doubt, use Aloe Vera Gel that can be easily obtained
in any drug store. Please check on the ingredient list, that NO
OILS and NO MINERALS are added.
Q: What will happen if I apply gel with abrasive ingredients
on my Neoprene Center Piece?
A faster discoloration and/or peeling off from the conductive
area will happen. The Neoprene center piece might still be working
for a while but life cycle can be significantly reduced. As a symptom
you will recognize that you need to increase the output setting
of the blue unit from session to session in order to get the same
stimulation. I.e. with a new belt, you only need to set to level
3 (push the “ON” button 3 times) to get proper muscle
contraction, with a deteriorated belt you have to go to level 6
to get the same contraction. At the same time also the stimulation
will move from the outer ends of the Neoprene Center Piece (with
a new belt) to the center and closer together. If the Neoprene Center
Piece is worn out you will only feel a tingling sensation right
in the center, but no full wide contractions, like at the beginning.
Q: How do I clean my Neoprene Center piece?
Use soft soapy, warm water to clean the belt and rinse by hand,
do not use washing machine. Please clean the electrode surface very
gently. Do NOT rub hard, do not apply pressure while whipping it
clean
Q: How long will my Neoprene Center piece last?
The neoprene centrepiece has been tested for up to 400 uses with
no or very minimal wear and tear. For all intents and purposes and
with
proper care, this centre piece will last permanently.
Q: How do I recognize whether my center piece is worn out, and
can that happen in a relatively short period of time?
If you get a tingling sensation but which is coming more from
the center rather than from the sides of the Neoprene Center piece,
this is an indication that your Neoprene Center Piece is worn out.
The neoprene belt is a consumable item and wears with use, depending
on the gel you are using, your own body fluids and how often you
use the belt. If the belt is worn out it will not be as conductive
anymore.
If your Center Piece is used up in a relatively short time, possibly
one of the following could be the reason.
- You were so exited about your new System that you probably used
it more than 4-5 sessions per day.
- You were using it at least once with another than the original
AbTronic™ Toning gel. Depending on the ingredients of that
other Crème, the silver electrodes can deteriorate rather
quickly
- You wiped of the silver electrodes with another cleaning detergent
other than plain water or woolite.
- You rubbed too hard when cleaning the silver electrodes.
- Your body fluids have a higher salt content than average.
Q: How can I distinguish whether my Neoprene Center Piece is
worn out or the Microprocessor unit is not working properly.
Simply unsnap the blue unit from the belt. Place a little bit
of conductive gel on the tip of the pointing and ring finger of
one hand and press your fingers against the two contacts of the
unit. Carefully switch the unit on and carefully increase intensity
to level one or two. If the unit is working properly you will feel
a tingling sensation in your fingers which indicates that the microprocessor
unit is working properly, but you need to get a new neoprene center
piece.
Q: How long will the Blue Microprocessor unit last?
The electronic unit is built very reliable and uses SMD technology.
It is maintenance free and will give you many, many years of trouble
free usage.
