| Full description: | WARNING This is a message to all parents looking for private ABA service. Please watch out for a company (non-incorporated) named Stepping Stones Therapy Services that provide ABA service and the director named Lisa Street. There has been incidents where therapists were not paid for their last paycheck after annoucing their resignation. Lisa Street keeps promising her therapists the check is in the mail, but money was never recived. Unpaid therapists made claims with the Labour Board of Ontario; families went to small claims court to sue the company. But nothing was being done and these procedures seem to be a waste of time. One of the therapists had gone to the police and tried to report it as a fraud. The police wouldn't take the case because it appears to be a "civil matter". The therapist couldn't sue "Stepping Stones Therapy Services" because it isn't even an incooporated company. Lisa Street has kept the families' pre-paid deposits. The ABA therapists were untrained and have no experience in ABA. Some "therapists" Lisa Street hired haven't even seen a child diagnosed with Autism. Lisa Street hires her staff all over Ontario. Lisa Street hires her therapists without an interview and she hires them over the phone and through e-mails and they are usually hired on short notice, 2-3 days before the therapist going to the families' homes. The therapists were told to tell the family they have lots of experience. Lisa Street claims her office is in Mount Albert.
